About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with an emphasis on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and cleaning floors, surfaces, glass, and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout store areas and follows health and safety, operational, merchandising, signage, and loss-prevention policies. The position is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports customer experience and Front End coverage as business needs require. The associate works collaboratively with peers, supervisors, management, and customers, communicating effectively and adapting to changing directions or unexpected situations. Physical stamina is needed to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber; lifting heavy objects may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, Restrooms, and other store areas.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
