Store Cleaning Associate - Morning
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate also maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, follows health and safety, operational, merchandising, and loss prevention policies, and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The position is located at HomeGoods Store 0316 in Wheaton, Illinois, and has a starting pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour.

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
