About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. The associate upholds operational, merchandise, safety, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices, contributes to a positive and respectful store culture, maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, and supports Front End coverage as needed. The role also requires effective communication with management and associates, adherence to labor and safety policies, and participation in store recovery and safety awareness.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Maintain floor care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
