About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. Associates follow operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and are cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The position also supports customer experience, store culture, and front-end coverage.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
