About The Position

The Store Cashier I is a key member of the TravelCenters of America store team, responsible primarily for providing excellent customer service. The role supports a convenient, one-stop shopping experience by serving customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store merchandise and food and beverage areas. Team members work in a customer-focused environment and follow safety guidelines while coordinating with leaders and coworkers. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) register.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Know and follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
