About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Bookkeeper to support the store manager and help maintain accurate store accounting and records. The role assists with office procedures, vendor invoicing, computer data entry, shortage controls, cash and inventory security, and day-to-day paperwork. The Store Bookkeeper is also expected to model professionalism, a positive attitude, teamwork, customer service, and effective convenience store operations.

Requirements

Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Assist the store manager with accounting decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up for office procedures, vendor invoicing, computer data entry, and shortage controls.
Set an exemplary example for co-workers in professionalism, attitude, teamwork, customer service, and convenience store operations.
Prioritize, organize, and follow up on office tasks.
Maintain the security of store assets, including control of the store cash fund, fuel, and inventories, and audit shift reports.
Complete accounts receivable transactions, including counting money, preparing deposit slips, banking, and closeouts.
Complete store paperwork accurately, including daily reports, daily purchases, mark-ups/downs, and inventory adjustments.
Order office supplies and maintain effective stock levels.
Process store invoices, audit cost and retail prices, and enter purchases into the computer.
Record sales and purchases in the store's running book and make computer entries.
Balance store records to office reports and verify payroll timecards.
