About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting CVS Health’s goal of improving health care experiences. The role includes providing attentive customer service, operating the register, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is part-time, with 28 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $18.97 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
