About The Position

The Store Associate role focuses on maintaining the store's appearance and providing excellent customer service. This includes ensuring store cleanliness, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and performing various operational tasks. The role requires upholding company standards, promoting a positive image, and contributing to the overall success of the store. Additional duties may include operating the checkout, enrolling customers in loyalty programs, assisting with online order fulfillment (BOPIS and SFS), participating in inventory management (truck un-load, stocking, planograms), and supporting safety and loss prevention initiatives. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance and maintaining standards.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of store cleanliness and recovery.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check-out experience and execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
