About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role includes cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities when needed, and assisting departments such as photo and beauty. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise. The position advocates for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
