About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s health care services. The role includes providing friendly, compassionate service; handling transactions; maintaining store inventory and sales-floor presentation; supporting store opening and closing activities; assisting departments such as photo and beauty; and, when needed, assisting pharmacy personnel. The position offers opportunities for growth and career development.

This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The role requires being on your feet for sustained periods, lifting and exerting force as described in the physical requirements, and close visual acuity. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required; applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
