About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments—including the pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
