About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides differentiated service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion, and identifying and resolving service issues. Associates handle cashier transactions, maintain the sales floor and inventory, support store opening and closing as needed, and help keep departments including photo and beauty stocked and operational. They may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
