About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and retail needs. The role contributes to a welcoming store experience, maintains store operations and merchandise, and supports departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.

This is a part-time position averaging 29 hours per week. The typical pay range is $15.00–$22.00 per hour. The actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for and support CVS services and loyalty programs.
