About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customer needs and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role provides compassionate customer service, supports store operations, maintains merchandise and inventory, and may assist pharmacy personnel. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and perform inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
