About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role provides attentive, compassionate service and helps customers with their healthcare-related and general retail needs. Associates maintain store departments and inventory, perform cashier duties, assist with store opening and closing when needed, and may support pharmacy personnel or work regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise. The position also involves promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
