About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role involves providing compassionate, attentive customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, and supporting store operations. Associates may also support photo, beauty, and pharmacy departments, including working pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
Stay current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
