About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role includes providing attentive, compassionate service; processing transactions; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; and helping keep departments, including photo and beauty, stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. The role supports CVS services and loyalty programs that help people on their path to better health.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
