About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health care experience. The role provides differentiated customer service, assists with store operations, maintains sales-floor inventory and presentation, and supports multiple store departments. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company's purpose.
