About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their healthcare needs. The role provides friendly, compassionate service, handles cashier transactions, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store opening and closing activities, and helps ensure departments such as photo and beauty are stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position advocates for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, with negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate additional items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support across departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
