About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and service offerings. The role includes providing helpful, compassionate customer service; completing cashier duties; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; and assisting other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. The position offers opportunities to work regular shifts in the pharmacy and develop skills for career growth.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
