About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and help CVS Health deliver convenient, compassionate health experiences. The role provides customer service, operates the register, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store opening and closing activities, and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with 15 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour; actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, and geography.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
