About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing as needed, and helping other departments stay stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain standing for sustained periods.
Able to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
Stay current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
