About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customer needs and CVS Health’s health care services. The role includes providing attentive, compassionate service; handling transactions; maintaining store merchandise and inventory; and supporting store operations and departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping keep them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
