About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role involves providing attentive, compassionate service; operating the register; maintaining store merchandise and inventory; supporting store opening and closing as needed; and helping keep departments, including photo and beauty, stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
