About The Position

The Store Setup Associate is a temporary position supporting essential store operations before and immediately after new store openings. Duties include assembling fixtures, receiving and stocking freight, merchandising products, and assisting customers through the store grand opening, including operating a cash register. The role works in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment during pre-opening setup and the grand opening and is expected to last approximately six weeks.

The position pays $20.00 per hour and offers a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. shift. Weekend work is required.

Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Legible handwriting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

• Prior merchandise receiving, handling, and stocking experience in retail or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and move fixtures, and adjust and label shelves.
• Maintain accurate displays, stock assigned areas, and meet OSJL merchandising standards.
• Before the store soft opening, unload multiple deliveries each day and place products on the sales floor according to the New Store Playbook.
• After the store soft opening, unload deliveries according to company processes, organize merchandise, and prepare it for the sales floor.
• Operate a cash register efficiently during and after the store soft opening.
• After the store soft opening, provide exceptional customer service, build friendly rapport by exemplifying the T.R.E.A.T. model, and foster a welcoming environment.
• Understand, support, and implement store safety protocols.
• Keep the environment neat, organized, and safe for customers and associates through regular cleaning and janitorial tasks.
• Promote company-wide customer initiatives, including donations, loyalty programs, and special offers.
• Collaborate effectively and independently to achieve goals, and proactively communicate opportunities for improvement to store leadership.
