About The Position

The Store Associate works in a retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to provide customer-focused service and support customers’ healthcare needs. The role includes cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations and helping other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates promote CVS services and loyalty programs and may work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support across departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
