About The Position

Retail Store Associates serve customers in a customer-focused retail setting, working independently and as part of a team. The role supports CVS Health’s efforts to provide a connected, convenient, and compassionate health experience and positively affect customers’ healthcare needs. Associates provide customer service, perform cashier duties, maintain the sales floor, support store operations, assist across departments, and may assist pharmacy personnel. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring departments are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
