About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining and restocking the sales floor, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments such as photo and beauty. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is part-time, with 15 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
