About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health care experience. The role includes providing attentive service, completing cashier transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and helping other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
