About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role includes providing helpful, compassionate service; operating the register; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing; assisting across departments, including photo and beauty; and, when needed, supporting pharmacy personnel. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is part-time, with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Assist customers across departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep those departments stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
