About The Position

The Store Associate supports and maintains the integrity of the Vera Bradley customer experience by delivering exceptional customer service, upholding store image standards, maximizing sales, and assisting with store operations. The role involves engaging customers through product awareness and team selling, processing transactions, maintaining merchandise and stockroom organization, and contributing to a positive, inviting store environment. The position requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and includes frequent standing and walking, lifting, and other physical activities.

Requirements

• High school graduate preferred.
• Prior retail experience strongly preferred.
• Polite and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional sales skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong team player.
• Able to meet the listed physical demands, including constant walking and standing; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching; and consistently lifting 10–35 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 55 pounds, with the ability to push or pull more than 55 pounds.
• Strong sensory skills, including good eyesight, hearing, and dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and enhance their experience through product awareness and team selling.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting customer environment.

• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
