About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing helpful, compassionate customer service; operating the register; maintaining sales-floor inventory and pricing; supporting store opening and closing; assisting other departments, including photo and beauty; and helping pharmacy personnel when needed. Associates may have opportunities to work regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, show compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit-card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
