About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ healthcare and retail needs. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to CVS Health’s customer service, store operations, and health services, including opportunities to assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career growth and development.

This part-time position is expected to work 20 hours per week. The listed base pay range is $16.90–$23.90 per hour. The actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography. The position is eligible for benefits and programs that support colleagues’ physical, emotional, and financial well-being, subject to hours worked and eligibility.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly and in a friendly manner, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
