About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare-related needs. The role provides differentiated service, maintains store operations and merchandise, supports other departments, and may assist pharmacy personnel. Associates are expected to promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view computer terminals, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
