About The Position

The Seasonal Retail Store Associate is a limited-time employment opportunity supporting increased summer business and tourism through Labor Day. The role provides customer-focused support in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to help customers and support store operations. Associates may assist across store departments, including photo and beauty, and may work regular shifts in the pharmacy when needed as part of growth and career development opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently, as well as negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items as needed.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
