About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and retail needs. The role provides opportunities to contribute across store departments, including photo and beauty, and to assist pharmacy personnel when needed. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Occasionally lift or exert up to 35 pounds, frequently up to 10 pounds, and regularly exert negligible force to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development arise.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
