About The Position

The Store Associate is a customer-focused retail role at CVS Health. Associates work independently and as part of a team to support customers’ needs and contribute to a convenient, compassionate health experience. The role includes providing customer service, handling transactions, maintaining store inventory and merchandising, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and conduct visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
