About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support CVS Health’s goal of providing connected, convenient, and compassionate health experiences. The role involves delivering attentive customer service, operating the register, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping keep departments stocked and operational. Associates may also support pharmacy personnel, including by working regular shifts in the pharmacy, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly, including for overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate additional items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Assist customers across departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Remain current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
