About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing attentive, compassionate customer service; carrying out accurate cashier transactions; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; and helping keep photo, beauty, and other departments stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities. The position advocates for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.

This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $17.40 per hour. The position is eligible for benefits and programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including moving objects overhead.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
