About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides welcoming, compassionate service; handles purchases; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing as needed; and assists across departments, including photo and beauty. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position advocates for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current on updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
