About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to provide service and support across store departments. The role supports CVS Health’s goal of helping customers on their path to better health by offering a welcoming experience, maintaining store operations, and promoting CVS services and loyalty programs. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.

The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $15.92–$22.92 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
