About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health and shopping experience. The role includes providing attentive service, handling transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping keep store departments stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

The position requires being at least 16 years of age. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. The role involves sustained periods standing, occasional lifting or exerting up to 35 pounds, frequent lifting or exerting up to 10 pounds, and close visual acuity for tasks such as reading and inspecting small details.

This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The stated typical pay range is $15.92–$22.92. Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift or exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, as well as a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
