About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role provides friendly, compassionate customer service, handles transactions, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store operations, and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
