About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their needs. The role includes providing friendly, compassionate service; handling cashier transactions; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities as needed; and helping other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
