About The Position

Salon Services is seeking a Store Assistant to support in-store merchandising, customer service, and point-of-sale transactions. The role helps create a welcoming customer experience, supports sales and inventory goals, maintains product displays and store stock, and keeps the store clean and presentable. The position is listed as 10–15 hours per week.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated clearly, concisely, accurately, promptly, and professionally.
• Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Comfort using computers.
• Comfort working with numbers and applying basic mathematical concepts.
• Ability to stand and/or sit continuously to perform job functions for a full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist incoming customers and provide a high level of customer service, with a goal of zero customer complaints.
• Welcome and engage customers so they feel comfortable in the store.
• Support sales and inventory goals through product promotion and excellent customer service.
• Conduct outbound customer calls, send or email thank-you notes, and invite customers to company events.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Assemble and disassemble merchandise and promotional displays at the beginning and end of promotional periods.
• Manage and maintain store stock.
• Maintain a clean and presentable environment for customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
