About The Position

Salon Services is seeking a part-time Store Assistant to help with in-store merchandising, customer service, and point-of-sale transactions. The role supports customers, sales and inventory goals, product promotions, stock management, and the maintenance of a clean and presentable store environment. The position is listed at $17.20 to $17.30 per hour for 10 hours per week.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated clearly, concisely, accurately, promptly, and professionally.
• Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Comfort using computers.
• Comfort working with numbers and applying basic mathematical concepts.
• Ability to stand and/or sit continuously to perform job functions for a full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• At least one year of retail sales experience is preferred.
• Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be available to assist incoming customers and provide a high level of customer service, with a goal of zero customer complaints.
• Welcome and engage customers to help them feel comfortable in the store.
• Support sales and inventory goals through product promotion and customer service.
• Contact customers by phone, thank-you notes, or email, and invite them to company events.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and promotions.
• Assemble and disassemble merchandise and promotional displays at the beginning and end of promotional periods.
• Manage and maintain store stock.
• Keep the store clean and presentable for customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
