About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to become an integral part of our team! You will assist the Store Manager in the operation and management of a Goodwill retail store. You will be responsible for performing cashier and processing duties in all retail areas of the store, opening and/or closing the store and completing corresponding paperwork.

Requirements

High school graduate/GED preferred but not required.
At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with previous managerial experience preferred.
Must have reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance

Responsibilities

Assume full store responsibility in store manager’s absence; including but not limited to directing the activities of all personnel, ensure that sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately and ensure that donated goods are processed appropriately.
Maintain all store records in absence of store manager
Ensure that retail store is adequately stocked at all times and is displayed in a professional manner
Set, display, and evaluate a high level of Customer Service
Inspect produced materials for quality and accurate pricing
Provide training and evaluation of new retail employees
Provide support for store manager during store meetings, disciplinary actions, etc.
Assist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner
Aid cashiers in correcting errors
Accept or refuse donated merchandise per store guidelines
Sort, hand, and price donated merchandise for sale in store
Responsible for opening/closing store; handling cash and electronic transactions; opening and closing cash registers; ensure the security of all monies and that all deposits are made in a timely manner.
