The Store Manager is responsible for directly supervising the activities of 2 or more full-time employees, including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives. This role involves recruiting, hiring, and training employees to ensure excellent customer service. The manager develops, manages, and assigns tasks to maintain store cleanliness, adequate stocking, organization, and overall appearance according to Company standards. They are responsible for maintaining a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors, and for scheduling employees to meet business needs and maximize customer service. The position requires implementing non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees. The Store Manager also develops positive relationships with suppliers, resolves customer complaints professionally, and ensures regular and predictable onsite attendance. They are expected to promote a safe, positive public image within the community, prepare performance appraisals, train employees on customer service, store image, marketing, safety procedures, cash awareness, and ensure all required training is completed in a timely manner. Effective communication with employees and the District Manager is crucial, as is developing action plans to meet store objectives. The manager organizes and maintains store files, ensures accurate and timely completion of reports, and supervises merchandise stocking, display, and pricing. They also ensure employment-related posters and signs are accessible. Financially, the Store Manager analyzes daily sales and expenses, budgets and forecasts P&L lines, manages merchandise margins, safeguards money, and performs financial analysis to maximize sales and profits. They must notify the District Manager of any discrepancies.
