About The Position

The Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, issues, and delivers materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage area, and keeps inventory records of incoming/outgoing shipments.

Requirements

• Knowledge of stockroom methods and procedures
• Knowledge of inventory records maintenance
• Knowledge of computer inventory and control methods
• Skilled in keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with other employees
• Skilled in segregating and storing goods
• Skilled in making rapid and accurate computations
• Skilled in visually inspecting materials to ensure items meet quality specifications
• Ability to follow instructions received verbally and in writing
• Ability to fill requisitions and deliver supplies on time, every time.
• Ability to prepare bills of lading showing proper shipping instructions, stock received reports and other reports of work completed
• Ability to routinely lift loads of 25-55 lbs. from floor level to above waists
• Ability to take physical inventories and keep perpetual inventory records of the quantities of stock on-hand
• Ability to wrap and pack goods for shipment to ensure customer receives undamaged product

Responsibilities

• Follows transportation schedules for shipment of stock, and completes necessary shipping documents
• Checks records of stock received and shipped, and completes invoices indicating item cost
• Checks estimates of stock need to maintain adequate inventory levels
• Checks goods received against purchase invoices
• Keeps shelves and goods clean and sees that stock is in its proper place and neatly arranged; notifies superiors when stock becomes low
• Replenishes the stock on the shelves from a general storeroom as needed
• Receives, stores, and issues materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom or storage area
• Perform other related duties, tasks and or projects , as assigned
