About The Position

The Stockroom Associate assists with daily store operations, including receiving merchandise, processing freight, merchandising, stocking, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. The associate is cross-trained to support the cash register and may switch to front-end duties as needed. Responsibilities also include serving customers, maintaining a positive and respectful environment, and protecting company cash and assets. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet physical demands including frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity.
Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely and according to productivity standards.
Merchandise and stock as needed.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally and courteously with customers, associates, and leaders.
Manage sales transactions at an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
